SATUR-GAY
SATUR-GAY is the Tees Valley's largest gay and lesbian party, and the North East’s biggest gay event outside of Newcastle. Located in central Middlesbrough at BASEMENT nightclub after a move from the Cornerhouse in March 2010. SATUR-GAY has an enviable reputation of offering outstanding quality, value and entertainment.
Launched in 2006 it was a breath of fresh air for gay clubbing in the north east, and today is one of the highlights of the Middlesbrough Club Scene. The night was created to provide a regular social space for the growing Lesbian and Gay Community of the Tees Valley – a night to equal those on offer elsewhere in the town. 
It was Think Pinks aim to create a ‘mainstream’ event that meant the Lesbian and Gay Community were no longer pushed away down side streets and back alleys. A huge team of entertainers from Stiltwalkers, Fire Eaters and Drag Queens make sure that the SATUR-GAY brand is constantly visible.
Since it’s launch SATUR-GAY has played host to many top name PAs and now regulary attracts people including Kelly Llorenna, X Factors Rowetta, dance sensation Marcella Woods, the boyband 'Vice' and all male Girls Aloud tribute, 'Bears Aloud'.
After 3 years at the Cornerhouse the award winning club night returned back to where it all began, BASEMENT after the Directors of the company bought the club, with attached bar Blu for an undisclosed sum. After a £80 000 refurbishment SATUR-GAY opened it's doors at BASEMENT on 9th March and has continued to grow since.
